Shiitake Mushroom Cheese Dip

Who can resist a warm, savory dip with gooey melted cheeses? Perfect, right? But then you add something to boost the flavor profile, like slivers of lightly sauteed golden brown shiitake mushrooms, and you have a dish everyone will be swooning over! You can add chopped green onions, chives or parsley to the top just before baking, and then serve with toasted baguette or mini naan rounds, an assortment of crackers or triangles of toasted pita bread.
